We will let you decide for yourself on that one, but what we know for certain is that the best BBQ in the world is cooked with love, and that is something we have in abundance. Our business started from nothing but a passion for cooking for our mates and family.

We have always said that the best foods in the world come from simple start- ups. Our story is exactly that.

From a humble converted caravan kitchen in our home driveway to the restaurant often mentioned when describing some of Melbourne’s best American BBQ our journey has been something worth paying attention too.

Everything you find in our restaurant our owners Hayley and Matt have built themselves; it is something we are very proud of. Our smokers a forged memory between father and son. Engineered and welded together at home to create the perfect rig to smoke meat for our community. A sight to behold each week when you visit for your regular dose of low and slow BBQ.

What we have created is something more than another fast-food place to eat dinner, it is an authentic experience like going to an ole mates house for a barbie. Sitting together in a communal dining area having a yarn and leaving feeling like you have just become a member of family.

How to order

We always cook lots of food, so walk-in dining is always welcome!

Our food does sell out (especially the brisket burnt ends!) and the hardest part of our job is looking into the disappointed eyes of a customer who has missed out.

By locking in a pre-order ahead of time, you’ll know your meal is guaranteed and waiting for you at your chosen pickup time.

Pre- orders also help us keep things running smoothly in the kitchen, so your wait time is kept to an absolute minimum.


Due to the nature of Low & Slow BBQ, Pre-orders close off at midnight the night prior to service to ensure we have enough time to cook. If you don’t secure a pre-order no worries, just walk in but always check our socials before coming for any sell out notifications.

Packages for catered events start at $39 per person for a meal fit for kings & queens.

We are available for off-site catering for a range of events such as:

  • Private events

  • Festivals & Markets

  • Corporate events

Alternatively, you may be looking for an in-person event at our restaurant. We have availability to host private functions on Thursdays, or Sundays.
